Senior process development engineer, with focus on flatness development in rolling and levelling processes, with location at one of SSAB Europe's main production sites.
We are looking for a senior process development engineer with a clear focus on flatness development in rolling or levelling processes to join SSAB Europe's strategic process development organization. This means that you need to have a deep knowledge before entering this position but you will develop even more in this role. You will work in various research and development projects with the aim of improving our production facilities and developing our competence in strategically important areas. The projects are run either internally within SSAB or together with other colleagues in the steel industry and with our research partners or together with some of our competent equipment suppliers. Your role in the projects can be both as a technical expert or as project manager. You will also represent SSAB in Jernkontorets research committees.
Your qualifictions
We assume that you have a master's degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering, engineering physics or materials science. Previous experience of working with rolling and / or levelling is necessary in this senior role. Knowledge in FEM modeling and / or advanced data analytics is also positive. You master English in speech and writing. We also expect you to be driving, generous and supportive when it comes to knowledge sharing.
Experience of having run externally funded projects, both nationally and within the EU, is also a merit.
