We are looking for a driven and solution-oriented Logistics Specialist to join SSAB Group - Transformation Office - Strategic Projects Construction. In this role, you will report to the Project Manager Logistics & Site Services and play a key part in securing efficient in- and outbound logistics during project execution. Location Luleå.
Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is essential for the sustainability of this planet. Steel has been one of the most important materials for developing our society and it will continue to be so. In the roofs over our heads, in the bridges connecting our cities and in the cars of tomorrow. At SSAB we are proud of our history and leadership in high-strength steel. But we are also aware that the production of steel is one of the largest emitters of greenhouse gases in the world. That has to change. That is why we have developed the world's first fossil free steel production and has committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB you will be instrumental in realizing this goal and push for the green transformation of the whole steel industry.
About the position
You will be at the heart of large-scale transformation projects, ensuring that warehouse, inventory, and site logistics operations run smoothly and in alignment with project objectives. This role requires a senior logistics professional with extensive hands-on experience who thrives in a dynamic environment, takes ownership, and contributes with structure, precision, and proactive problem-solving.
This is an opportunity to contribute to complex industrial construction projects where strong leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders truly make a difference.
Main responsibilities
Supporting the Project Manager Logistics & Site Services, Logistics Manager, and Site Service Manager with analysis, reporting, and operational follow-up.
Acting as backup for key logistics and site service management roles when needed, ensuring continuity and operational stability.
Driving structured deviation handling, including root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Managing specific Logistics & Site Services projects within the Transformation Office.
Contributing to setting clear targets, structures, governance models, and responsibilities within logistics operations.
Ensuring high-quality reporting and transparent follow-up on logistics performance, KPIs, and cost control.
Collaborating closely with Project Directors, Project Managers, Construction Managers, Health & Safety, contractors, logistics service providers, forwarders, and relevant authorities.

About You - Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience within in- and outbound logistics, including warehouse and inventory management.
Solid experience from CAPEX projects, preferably within construction or large-scale industrial environments.
Experience from the pulp and paper industry, or similar heavy industrial sectors, is highly advantageous.
Academic education in logistics, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field is considered a strong advantage, although extensive practical experience may compensate for formal education.
Demonstrated leadership capability grounded in building trust, creating clarity, taking ownership, and developing both the team and the Logistic organization.
Strong analytical skills with solid experience in defining targets, structures, and responsibilities, combined with confidence in reporting, performance follow up, and data driven decision making.
A proactive, structured, and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving and deviation management.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment involving multiple stakeholders.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English; Swedish is considered an advantage.
