SSAB Services is SSABs rapidly growing downstream business unit with ambitious expansion targets. The Concept Management team within SSAB Services is responsible for exploring new ways of engaging the customers, utilizing existing best practice, new ideas and the digital tools.
As Design and Digital Implementation Engineer you play an important role in the team and you will be involved both in technical questions, digital implementation and business discussions. You will contribute by collecting and building up new knowledge but also in implementing and training Wear Service centers in the use of new digital tools. Collecting feedback and planning improvements as well as exploring new opportunities.
Responsibilities are within two key areas:
Drawing creation and management. Working in tools like Inventor designing CAD drawings for machines and wear parts. Documenting and structuring our collected know-how and best practice. You will also get involved in technical trials of new wear products.
Super user for the business software that the Concept Management team is developing. Training and coaching new users and supporting in digital development and implementation projects.
Your qualifications
To be successful in this role you need to have a master degree in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science and Engineering or equivalent. You have good experience using CAD software. Most of our future business development projects will have a strong connection to digital tools and systems development, therefor you need an overall understanding of, and curiosity towards, the possibilities that exist within digitalization.
You have strong analytical skills, attention to details and good presentation skills. You are fluent in English and thrive in an international environment where international contacts are part of the every day work. As a person you are positive and interested in new ideas - and in making them happen.
