hela Sverige SSAB is undertaking a strategic roadmap to revolutionize iron- and steelmaking, and to be the world's first steel company to deliver iron ore-based fossil-free steel to the market in 2026. We are looking for a highly motivated person to join us in this journey as Commodity Manager or Strategic Purchaser of Nordic Raw Material Procurement. The position can be located in Raahe, Luleå or Oxelösund.
We are looking for a highly motivated person with leadership skills that exceeds our expectation to lead the Group Procurement team as Procurement Director. You will be responsible for the strategic sourcing activities, such as commodity strategy development, source-to-contract projects, supplier management and performance assessment processes. Commodity responsibilities and title of the position will be determined according to the competence and background of the chosen person.
Your qualifications
You preferably have experience from procurement, supply chain, raw material planning or process/production management within steel industry. Working with cross-functional responsibilities is something you see motivating and inspiring. As a person, you are a team player with integrity and great social skills, which together with your competence make you a great colleague to work with. Through your solid experience, you have an independent, method driven and results-orientated way of working.
In addition to working strategically, you need to be a pragmatic doer who thrives in helping hands-on to get things done. Your analytical skills will be a key competence in succeeding in this position and you do not mind deep diving into details to get a full understanding.
You need to have strong negotiation skills, understand basic financial management and contractual law and have an interest and ability to develop our supply processes. In addition you have a social intelligence when establishing and developing relationships with your internal and external stakeholders. You are efficient and used to work in high speed and with high expectations and you work effectively under pressure.
You are used to working in an international environment with different kinds of stakeholders and travelling is not a hinder for you.
We expect you to have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in economics or technology. You have very good written and spoken English skills and have professional skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
