As Commodity Manager, you will lead the work in developing commodity strategies, sourcing and supplier management together with internal stakeholders. You will work close to other functions within the procurement organization as well as establish relations with internal customers, such as maintenance, production and others, including potential and existing suppliers.
We expect you to carry out your work with limited supervision and to be creatively involved in developing the role and ways of working. In addition to this:
• Business travels is a part of the job and for you to enjoy this you most likely see this as an opportunity.
• You will be a member of the Procurement Team that represents procurement of Business Unit Sweden and you will report to our Procurement Director.
• Your location is Luleå, but you need to be flexible and from time to time work in other production sites in Sweden or Finland if needed, physically or digitally.
To summarize, your overall mission will be to guide, develop and carry out SSABs sourcing process in our journey in to become fossil free. This includes sourcing strategies and tactics, completing sourcing events, negotiate and finalize contracts as well as handling claims.
Your qualifications
To be fruitful in this role we think that you are an experienced commercial leader with great communication skills. Further, we believe you to have experience from business to business with an aptitude to handle sourcing events professionally. In this job, your innovative as well as business skills will be a key competence. Effective communication and networking skills will be important qualities for you to be a suitable candidate.
You also need to have an independent, method driven and result oriented way of working which gives structure to your approach. We work in a company and environment where changes are a part of our daily work. The ability to embrace this whilst not only showing flexibility, but also seeing it as an opportunity to identify and realize new improvement areas, is key for this role.

• We expect you to have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in economics, technology, logistics or law. Alternatively, that you may have gained similar qualifications or experience in some other way.
• You will act in an international business environment, so we expect you to be somewhat advanced in written and spoken English and Swedish.
• You need professional skills in Microsoft Office.
