Job Description
This role works within the quality team to ensure the overall quality of a manufactured product, and is tasked with creating documentation, devising quality tests and defining the criteria a test result should meet. You will play a key role in finding potential issues and find solutions on how to avoid them. As a Quality Engineer you will work within a wider team of professionals with the overall aim of making sure that the final products meet internal and customer expectations, as well as regulatory requirements, while keeping the manufacturing process as effective and cost-efficient as possible.
The Quality Engineer work with various stakeholders, at every part of the manufacturing process such as;
• Design team - Involvement upfront during the design phase to ensuring quality expectations when transitioning to production.
• Suppliers - working to ensure raw materials and component parts meet the company's quality standards. In critical cases, working with the supplier to develop quality processes and build confidence.
• Manufacturing teams - ensuring that equipment and processes follow predetermined quality standards
• Customers - analyzing issues reported via customer feedback, maintaining records and implementing changes to manufacturing when necessary
As a Quality Engineer you will work both on the manufacturing floor and in the office environment. It can be expected for limited travels to suppliers and/or customers that needs additional quality development and support. The scope of work includes creation of quality documentation and development of test procedures all in line with industry standards. You will proactively review and improve systems and processes as well as maintaining accurate documentation. The role will work closely with the class societies, to ensure products and processes meet industry and customer requirements, so good knowledge and experience of classification rules is highly benefitial.
Who are we looking for
We are looking for someone with good analytical skills who pays attention to details and can look at things from all perspectives when needed. You have a good understanding when it comes to statistical analysis and you have a strong communicative skill, both verbally and written, since you must be able to relay potentially complex ideas to a wide range of audiences. You are a great team player and make people feel included and motivated. To coordinate tasks between multiple teams is something you are very comfortable with and always follow up and make sure everyone is on track. We see you as a self motivated and driven person. You are used to a process driven workflow and thrives by success. You have an engineering degree and preferably 5 years of relevant experience but most important of all, you have the right mindset and a passion for what you do. Swedish and English, both in written and spoken are required.
