hela Sverige PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Ensure the early involvement of procurement and suppliers during the development of products and the design of solutions in order to create and deliver innovative, cost competitive and marketable products to our customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Secure early involvement of Procurement within Projects and Programs to support Component-, Solution- and Supplier Selection Process.
Enable early Involvement of Supplier in alignment with R&D and Project to utilize Supplier Expertise
Ensure Supplier and Component Selection is in line with Powerwave Strategy as well as Customer Requirements.
Support target costing for Powerwave Products and drive component cost approach.
Manage RFP, RFQ and Price negotiation process within programs & projects in alignment with Project Management and the Procurement Category Teams.
Ensure alignment of supplier activities across Powerwave locations and Programs
Provide early indicators about supplier, costs, lead time to Prototyping- and NPI Process
Drive standardization of supplier- and component base across Powerwave locations and within Projects/ Programs.
Support cost reduction activities through regular supplier business review, supplier workshops, benchmarking, market scanning process/technology improvements and specification reviews.
Support contracting such as NDA and Purchasing Agreements according to Product Category- and Customer Requirements.
Communicate R&D and Project activities and respective data to Procurement Category Teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and several years of related experience.
Several years of experience in the areas of Procurement, Supply Chain and Engineering Environment.
Profound and diverse knowledge of supplier market and technologies.
Well experienced in leading interdisciplinary and virtual Teams
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of R&D and Project Management Processes
Consolidated knowledge on Supplier- as well as Component Selection Process in context with the necessary involvement and participation of all major stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities, while staying focused and meeting deadlines.
Profound Experience and understanding on dealings with Supplier Sales Representatives and Field Application Engineers
Focus on working independently.
Able to perform cost structure analysis (e.g. Reverse Engineering) and target costing
Ability to drive standardization by identifying possible alternate supplier and components
Strong communication and networking skills working within world wide cross functional teams
Extensive prior experience presenting complex technical information both verbally and written to cross-functional teams and responding to interrogatory discussion.
Strong ability to effectively communicate clearly on technical topics and issues at an engineering and business level
Result oriented and assertive whilst working with a variety of stakeholders
Knowledge or prior experience with respect to data and information exchange throughout supply chain network
Profound understanding of Supply Chain Management
