At Research and Development we create and develop the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo Cars. Seats is a section within the Interior department and develops the interiors of all our cars with responsibility for the complete design process from concept development to industrialization.

Then the Group Rear Seat System Engineering is the place for you to prosper. We lead the development of a complete integrated rear seat into the vehicle balanced to project requirements.
Our diverse group consists of some twenty persons with different competences and backgrounds, who, in spite of what we work with, don't sit around. As our Senior CAD Engineer you will get a manager who is eager to keep you motivated and in the long run you will have the opportunity to take on developing tasks.
Wat you'll do?
You will be working in one of the teams in our agile environment, which is just getting into life in our group. Fast changes and proactivity are part of our daily work, we are working with the flow according to current needs and development of the product. You will be the CAD design authority within the team and together you drive the system engineering maturity in cooperation with engineering or full service suppliers for one or more products.
The position will develop your innovation, system engineering skills and your ability to make complex requests into developed and validated concepts and solutions. It will make you look outside CAD engineering and look into other aspects of delivering a flawless product. It will increase your knowledge in rear seat and rear end setup of vehicles as well as automotive regulations and test methods.
Do you fit the profile?
You love design engineering on a system level, you are experienced and fluent in Catia and team center. You are an analytic and curious person, experienced in the engineering methods and processes related to driving maturity of a complete system. Design from design, to engineering, to validation and industrialization. With your background you have full understanding of the necessity of delivering on time with a quality work result. You are collaborative and used to working as a part of a team, where you supply a team-unique competence as well as together with internal customers and external suppliers.
* B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in technical area or other equivalent education
* CATIA V5, Team Center and GD&T
* Experience from developing systems and parts within the automotive industry environment
* System packaging and integration
* Excellent English skills, spoken and written
* Driver's license "B"
* Meritorious; experience from sheet metal, welding, tool design, foams, plastics, packaging, FEA, mechanisms, dynamic testing or seating in general.
