hela Sverige We are now looking for a Sr Analytical Scientist for our group focusing on Gel Analytical Development at Galderma in Uppsala. Do you have experience of working with a range of different analytical methods to characterize materials? Have you worked with developing and validating new analytical methods? The department of Gel Analytical Development at Galderma is responsible for chemical/physical test methods for products, as well as characterization of raw materials, intermediates, active substances and formulations. We also transfer validated methods to the Quality Control unit and contribute with competence in project groups, for example with documents for registrations or in investigations requiring analytical testing.
Responsibilities
As Sr Analytical Scientist you will be responsible for characterizing materials, developing and validating analytical test methods, and performing analyses for different projects within R&D and for other teams within the company. You are also expected to contribute with expert competence regarding physical and chemical analysis in projects teams and R&D activities, guiding the team in both strategic and operational matters related to analytical development. Other responsibilities include:

Writing and reviewing procedure documents (SOPs), Quality control methods and technical reports for regulatory use.

Conducting purchase of new analytical test equipment if required and develop URS and risk analysis and review IQ/OQ/PQ for new analytical test equipment.

Transfer analytical test methods to QC and train QC personnel in the procedures when required.

Presenting and publishing scientific results as well as support in filing of patents
Requirements
You have a university degree in chemistry/analytical chemistry/ or engineering and substantial work experience within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry, a PhD degree is considered meriting.
Most importantly, you have solid practical and theoretical experience from qualitative and quantitative analytical testing. Knowledge in several types of analytical test instruments as well as expertise in structural elucidation/identification of unknown compounds/particles is a necessity. You are strong in oral communication and enjoy public speaking. Fluency in both written and spoken Swedish and English is a requirement.
