Within Supplier Quality Management we are responsible to manage the performance of a set of suppliers mainly in Europe, supporting both new programs and running production.
As a SQM Engineer you are going to work with quality assurance of product and process at suppliers mainly within casting area. It will be within your role to approve products regarding quality and capacity. Other main tasks are to develop efficiency and quality by working closely with higher management team at the suppliers. This function is placed in Gothenburg, Sweden and requires frequent travel to suppliers' sites.
Main responsibilities
• Preparation of new supplier product in cross functional teams
• Improving supplier base
• Problem solving of daily production topics
Required qualifications
• Competence from different casting techniques
• Education on university level or equivalent experience focused towards metallurgical competence
• Management skills from production
• Experienced in production/production technique, design and quality
• Knowledge about quality tools such as APQP, PPAP & Problem Solving (8D)
• Knowledge about quality systems (QS9000/TS16949)
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Experiences within automotive industry mainly within Powertrain and Chassis is meritorious
