Job description:
You will be part of the Global SQL Server team, which is a virtual team that operates from multiple locations. The team manage databases running on a multiple of SQL versions. All the features within the Microsoft SQL server product portfolio are used. The team works globally with customers located all over the world.
Weekend and evening work is part of the job but the normal working hours are between 08:00-17:00
The Technical Specialist is responsible for one or more products, which normally includes a number of infrastructure components, and/or one or more services, which normally is composed by one or more products.
Required skills:
• Previous production DBA experience
• At least 5 years? experience with SQL Server, a SQL Server certification is a plus
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2005/2008/R2 and later
• Expert knowledge in installation, backup, and restoring (even under time-pressure) of SQL databases
• Strong database administration skills with an emphasis on enterprise scale architecture
• Expert knowledge of database security methodologies
• Strong understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery processes and procedures
• Expert knowledge of clustering and replication
• Expert ability to use Microsoft tools to troubleshoot logic, syntax, and deadlock issues
• Experience in automating all major DBA tasks
• Ability and willingness to work effectively in a business-critical production, in a global, multi-cultural organization
• Strong customer focus
• Good communication and documentation skills
Well organized, with an eye for detail
• Able to collaborate in teams as well as being an independent driving force
• Good written and spoken English and Swedish are a requirement
