The group Engine Mounted Cooling System is a part of the section Exhaust & Cooling system. The operation of Cooling System is divided into two groups in close cooperation, Chassis- and Engine mounted cooling system, in order to provide complete cooling systems to all engine and car projects at Volvo Car Group. The cooling system is a fundamental and a focused area within thermal management and C02 reduction. We work closely with our suppliers and different car and engine projects. We deliver complete system to new car projects and to current running production and have the total responsibility for the complete cooling system in the car.
As SPL (System Project Leader) you will together with Technical Project Leaders (UPL), Design engineers, Test engineers, Function owners and System Responsible. You will have a leading and supporting role, responsible for the deliveries regarding time, technology, cost and man-hour for the Exhaust and Cooling system. Planning of incoming work, follow-up, documentation and secure material to serial build is also a part of the role as well as providing status reports on Group- and Section meetings and Project meetings.
Main responsibilities
* Be the Cooling and Exhaust voice at Design Review Meetings (DRM)
* Coordinate and prioritise resources
* Give project status reports to line organisation
* Secure progress of the project
* Support Design Engineers and Component owners (GDL) in respect of information
* Support to project
Required qualifications
* B.Sc. grade within mechanics, or a similar education or equivalent experience
* Experience of development of systems and components
* Experience of project work
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Driving license B
* Knowledge of Product Development Processes is meritorious
* Knowledge of KDP, Teamcenter, VPC, Lotus Notes is meritorious

* Analytical skills and a great technical interest
* Comfortable with making reports and presentations
* Ability to work with several projects at a time
* Structured way of working
* Communication skills
* Self-motivated with a driving force
