Product Builds is a global organization preparing and delivering the prototype builds to Group Trucks Technology. We lead the cross functional work from an order received until the prototype build is delivered to the customer according to agreement.
Position Summary
We are looking for our future colleague who wants to be part of developing the premium heavy duty trucks of tomorrow. To be responsible for Specification Control, you actively collect customer needs and help projects to convert the "need" into physical builds and identify corresponding variants and complete variant specifications in our IT system PROTOM. You will lead the cross-functional work together with projects, to ensure that the virtual and physical builds needed for the verification and validation is being created or ordered from production plant or sub-suppliers in accordance to our financial approval process. Our physical builds is being used in our product development projects and is being driven at Hällered and ASTA Proving Grounds, or in winter tests in Kiruna/Sweden respectively in summer tests in Almeria/Spain, with selected customers. You will take an active part in working with and report to the Product Build Project leader. You will work closely with project managers, technology leaders, assembly functions as well as the development and verification teams.

What are we looking for?
To be able to take on this challenge successfully, we believe that you possess the following skills and competencies:
• You have a genuine interest and deep knowledge of the trucking and/or bodybuilding business.
• You have experience in breaking down customer ideas and features into technical and legal requirements for the trucks.
• You have truck experience in working close to customers to understand their business and behaviors on how they use the trucks in the day-to-day operations.
• You have truck experience that will bring the customer and user's perspective into the development projects at Volvo Group.
• University degree in relevant field or equivalent
• You are fully comfortable with the Microsoft office tools
• You have good communication skills and you are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• We believe that you have a customer oriented mindset. And as we are solving small and big problems, often starting with limited information; we believe you are pragmatic, driven and always open to learn new things.
• We have a strong emphasis on collaboration and sharing so we expect you are a team player with the ability to build and maintain good relationships
