Business Area (BA) Publication Paper (PP) R&D activities are business-oriented and result-driven. R&D focuses on production and quality of BA's products, on their end-use and on creation of new business opportunities for BA customers, products and assets.
Mechanical pulps have an important role in printing paper furnish concepts. The existing furnish concepts and pulp production principles require continuous development.
The Position holder is expected to
• work as practical oriented researcher in the mechanical fibre and related fields, such as bleaching and furnish concept optimization
• play a key role in BA PP R&D working groups (Core Competence Groups)
• work in close operation with production units and other R&D centers
• take responsibility of individual R&D projects and development of the project portfolio
• document and report project results according to PP?s guidelines
• support the implementation of project results in Stora Enso
• follow the developments within the field through university, institute and supplier contacts.
Requirements
• University degree : MSc or corresponding knowledge,
• Broad knowledge in the applied science of paper making
• Experience, preferably hands on, in trial planning and execution
• Goal oriented, efficient performance
• Analytical, structured thinking and working style
• Team player
• Flexibility
• Good communication skills in both verbal and written English, other languages are an advantage
The final responsibilities and tasks will depend on your experience and competence. Travelling is a part of the job.
This positions will be located in Kvarnsveden, Sweden, with a local contract.
