For a 6 month consultant assignment we are looking for several specialists within Organic chemistry.
Applications will be read upon arrival and the positions will be filled as soon as possible.
Publiceringsdatum2008-11-24Dina arbetsuppgifter• You need to be focused in the laboratory to develop synthetic routes, synthesise, purify and characterise compounds of biological interest to help drive a drug hunting project.
• You need to ensure high standards of scientific work, high chemistry productivity and high safety standards in all aspects of work.
• You are able to work as a member of a team and co-operate and collaborate with the other team members to contribute to the development and sharing of best practice in synthetic organic chemistry, team working and compound delivery.
• You provide novel ideas of compounds to synthesise to help solve problems in a project.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
• A Master of Science specialising in organic chemistry with preferably 3 years laboratory experience coming with a high interest in practical laboratory work.
• A sound knowledge in synthetic organic chemistry, including a good grasp of synthetic route design and the use of new technologies.
• Good knowledge of different analytical techniques for both analysis and purification (HPLC, TLC, LC-MS, NMR etc) and a willingness to learn new automated technologies.
• A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills using either Swedish or English. You take responsibility for compound delivery and your work is characterized by efficiency and thoroughness.
• Basic knowledge in medicinal chemistry.
