Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Scania Academy's mission is to work with continuous learning and competence development is an important piece of the puzzle to enable this transformation.

Traditionally learning has happened in the form of settings that we recognize from classroom trainings and formal setups. Our way of learning has also been transformed and we are now looking for information and knowledge in completely different ways. Learning takes place more and more continuously and as an integral part of the daily work. Access to learning from the latest research in various areas such as sustainability, digitalisation, electrification, etc. is becoming more and more important. Learning takes place not only for the first job at the beginning of our career, but something that will be part of our entire professional life, or what we call lifelong learning.

Your duties
As a Life Long Learning Specialist at Scania Academy, you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge of lifelong learning and broaden your network of contacts, both within Scania and with our external partners. By being a link between the research world, universities or other institutions, you will work with questions about how we can benefit from that knowledge and spread it widely within Scania. Together with other key functions within Scania, you will work to identify external collaborations within the university world and authorities, create forums, be responsible for issues related to competence development, among other things. The role requires proactively being responsible for finding new forms of work together with external partners, on a global level, and identifying and establishing new ways of working linked to learning.

Profile
We believe that you who apply have an academic degree and experience from working with areas related to learning. You have the ability to work strategically both in the short and long term. You are a generalist who takes the initiative and can plan, operate and deliver within your own area of responsibility. You can communicate your lessons and goals in an educational and inspiring way. You can easily create relationships and collaborate with others, but you can also work independently. You believe in a sustainable future and have a passion for creating opportunities and being involved in demonstrating the skills needs of the future.

You speak both Swedish and English fluently. It is an advantage if you know Scania's organisation and have a good network internally and externally. Project management and experience of how collaboration between industry, academia and government works is a merit. Application deadline: 2021-09-22
