The SKF Group Manufacturing Development Centre in Gothenburgis the central research and development facility for manufacturing processes used in SKF. To strengthen our competence in the field of modelling and simulation, we are looking for a
Specialist in heat treatment simulations

We are now looking for a person with experience and in depth knowledge in heat treatment modelling and simulation.
Key Tasks
• To develop models, material data and simulation tools in heat treatment.
• To apply and perform simulations in development of heat treatment processes for e.g. improved product performance.
• To support in process simulations in general to improve efficiency in SKF factories and at SKF suppliers.
• To keep aware of external developments in the area of process modelling and simulations.
• To work in close cooperation with selected universities and research institutes.
Requirements
• University or equivalent technical education in solid mechanics, mechanical engineering or material science.
• Documented experience in modelling and simulation.
• Experience in simulations of industrial applications of heat treatment processes, especially induction hardening, is an advantage.
• A self-motivated, proactive team worker with good communication skills.
• Good ability to speak and write in English; a second or third foreign language is an advantage (e.g. German, French, Spanish).
• Willingness to travel and to work abroad on short assignments.
