hela Sverige The Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care runs the operating ward in Kullbergska Sjukhuset Katrineholm (KSK) - the main regional production facility for operating care. We employ anesthesiologists, scrub- and anesthesia nurses. KSK is the smallest hospital in Region Sörmland. The main assignment is to provide services for planned surgery during office hours - orthopedics, surgery, ENT, gynaecology and dental. No emergency surgery is performed. The anesthesiologist supports the emergency function of the hospital during all hours on consultation basis from home. The workload of the on-call hours is generally not high, but the quality of the function is of great importance for the emergency system in the region. If need for intensive care arises the anesthesiologist is instrumental in the arrangement of transport to an intensive care facility.
If there is an interest in keeping up skills in emergency surgery, obstetrics or intensive care, the department can provide rotational employment at Mälarsjukhuset Eskilstuna.

Your competence
We are looking for you who are a specialist in Anesthesia and Intensive care licensed in Sweden, or is a registered specialist doctor in Anesthesia and Intensive care within EU/EEA. We expect that you who are applying are committed, solution-focused and interested in developing our department together with your colleagues. In the meeting with both patients and colleagues, you have an open, professional, and empathetic approach. Personal suitability for the job is of the greatest importance.
Terms of employment
Before start working with us, you need to reach B2 level in the Swedish language. Your employment will start with and introduction period where you combine Swedish language studies to reach the C1 level, with introduction at the clinic. When you have reached license from the Swedish national Board of Health and Welfare and the introduction period is proved satisfactory, it will automatically turn into a permanent employment.
