As a Specialist Confirmation & Settlement you will manage the back-office activities for the functions Forward Markets and Short-Term Optimization. This includes the confirmation of transactions under Master Agreements with external counterparties and TSOs and checking and processing of trades in trading systems. You will manage collaterals and margining accounts with trading partners, exchanges, clearing houses, etc. and participate in negotiations of master agreements. Furthermore, you will be processing Swedish green certificates and CO2 and making sure the regulatory reporting requirements (EMIR, REMIT, etc.) are met.
The role also includes settling and invoicing transactions with internal and external counterparties and TSOs as well as settling and analysing the balance for power and other commodities. Moreover, you will be managing the interface to other corporate functions (including Treasury, Controlling, Accounting and Risk) to support planning and reporting processes as well as supporting the improvement of the IT structure and the front-to-end processes.
In the context of the restructuring of the E.ON group, several functions and processes are being newly established and are currently in the design phase. As part of the project team, you will share responsibility for ensuring day 1 readiness of operational processes and IT systems for the Back Office as well as for proactively shaping, driving, and building the Back Office function in the new Market Operations Sweden.
Qualifications
• University degree in engineering, economics, business administration or comparable studies preferable
• Experience in the energy sector and in the handling, confirmation, settlement and billing of transactions in the energy or other commodity markets
• Knowledge of contracts governing trading activities
• Very good computer user knowledge, especially MS office, SAP and ETRMs
• Fluent Swedish and very good English language skills. Command of German Language is seen as a plus
• Strong analytical skills, highly structured working methods, and strong self-motivation
• Strong teamwork skills, motivation and effective communication skills
