Specialist in Product Data Management
to join our team in establishing a competitive Product Data Management (PDM), working with PDM state of the art, Volvo Group tradition in this area, future business needs and trends, as well as Volvo Group products, processes, IT systems and organizational structure.
Volvo Group Product Data Management Logic (PDM Logic) manages the Volvo Group product portfolio via information elements such as variants, parts, CAD-modules, design change notes, breakdown structures etc. PDM Logic provides the product information backbone throughout a product's lifecycle.
We are a team of people globally working with PDM Logic-related activities such as strategies, quality improvements, enhancements triggered by new business demands, etc. The work is carried out together with a comprehensive network of local teams at different Volvo Group sites and functions.
Main tasks:
As a specialist in PDM Logic you will participate in PDM-related business investigations and projects in mechanical and embedded software areas to fully grasp business demands and define the corresponding PDM solution. You will continuously work on identifying improvement potentials within the area of PDM. You will actively spread and share knowledge by developing high-end presentations and coaching others.
You will also be involved in defining new processes and methods as well as specifying the IT support required in order to meet future business demands. Since PDM Logic is used throughout the entire product lifecycle you will cooperate with specialists from other functions/sites across Product Development, Sales & Marketing, Manufacturing and Aftermarket, at different divisions within the Volvo Group.

Qualifications and Competences
a.Experience of PDM/PLM area (preferably experience of Volvo Group PDM, i.e. KOLA).
b.Strong analytical skills.
c.Experience of making technical investigations.
d.Presentation skills.
e.Engineering degree (or corresponding work experience)
f.Basic knowledge of automotive industry (preferable, but not mandatory).
g.As we are a truly global and diverse company, most of your meetings and emails will be in English, hence you need to be fluent in both spoken and written English.
