It is a public, non-fee paying school. The school expects approximately 500 students for the school year 2013-2014.
The students of ISH come from many different cultures and the staff work, in an environment of mutual respect, to create an internationally recognized education. The school strives to develop the students academic and social skills in order to prepare them in the best way for the future.

• give advice on special needs and special needs students
• provide suggestions regarding the learning situation and learning environment
• offer advice on differentiation of subject material/how to reach the objectives and/or goals;
• support on mapping student needs and completing referrals
• actively assist teachers to write effective action plans
• support teachers in communicating with parents, and attend parent/teacher meetings;
• complete internal assessment of students referred to the special needs department
• participate in Student Welfare Team meetings and share/discuss necessary information regarding students in program or students who have been referred
• work with specific learning support needs such as dyslexia, ADD/ADHD
KvalifikationerQualified Special Needs teacher. Fluency in English is a necessary prerequisite for employment. Understanding of the MYP and DP programmes is essential.
