Internationella Engelska Skolan Nacka (IESN) is an independent school, years 4-9, with a projected enrollment of 760 students. The shool opened in August 2010 and is located in Nacka strand, with easy access to the centre of Stockholm. We require a full time certified Special Educational teacher starting in August 2011.
IES Nacka is part of the organisation, Internationella Engelska Skolan i Sverige AB (IES), a growing independent school organisation which includes 17 schools around Sweden. The teaching languages are English and Swedish.

Working as a Special Educational teacher at IES Nacka offers an interesting challenge in a friendly, focused and professional environment. The school's approach employs academical growth and development, student care, and a positive social climate among students and staff.
As a special educator you will work with diverse diagnoses, both in a one-to-one program and in classroom settings. You will work closely with the Swedish as a Second language teacher and be a part of the school?s Student Care Team. As a part of this team you will contribute with your specialist knowledge and cooperate with other specialists from various fields.
The special educational position is both teaching based, where you teach students with special needs, and aid/ instruct based, where you aid teachers concerning students with special needs inside and outside of the classroom setting.
Qualifications:
Teachers need to posses a special education (speciallärare/ specialpedagog) qualification or another qualification that may be viewed equally. Your ability to create and nurture relations with staff and students is high, you have a positive approach, and a high level of engagement. The position demands that you are flexible in your way of working, are organized and possess a constructive way of approaching problems.
High quality in your work is very important to us, and you need to hold the ability to work with different kind of individuals in a patient and non-stressful way. Fluency in Swedish is important for this position.
