Heltidsanställd

SP Process Development is looking for a senior chemical engineer to strengthen our team for applied process research and manufacture of, e.g., chemicals, drug substances and new materials.

SP Process Development, located in Södertälje, is a subsidiary of SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden. Our research and innovation is about applied chemical and pharmaceutical process development. We perform R&D from early proof of concept to scale-up verification. We have during 2015 expanded our capabilities with facilities for process demonstration and small scale manufacture of chemicals and pharmaceutical drug products.

We are searching for an enthusiastic and ambitious colleague to strengthen our team.
You will have the possibility to work with project management (including responsibility for budget and customer relations), hands-on laboratory work and manufacturing, knowledge and tech transfer, writing of customer reports, scientific reports and regulatory documents.  You will also be part of writing quotations for customers as well as grant applications.

In your role you will lead and perform chemical process research and development to support both customer specific projects as well as open research projects. We specialize in the areas of process intensification, catalysis, pharmaceutical development, scale-up of chemical processes, manufacture (up 100 L in-house) including GMP manufacture, continuous chemical processing, process simulation and modeling, crystallization and other unit operations, e.g., distillation, extraction etc.

SP Process Development offers you a flexible and dynamic working environment with the possibility to strengthen your experience and knowledge of several process research areas and industrial sectors. Collaboration with external academic and industrial partners is an important aspect of the job. You are encouraged to initiate contacts with commercial and academic partners, and establish new research collaborations.

We believe that you have an academic degree within chemical engineering or another relevant chemical science area. Preferably, you have more than 3 years of experience from project management as well as process development, scale-up of chemical processes and manufacture of chemical entities, in an industrial setting.

You are a curious, creative, and open minded person. You are not afraid to take responsibilities and you are enthusiastic to work in a laboratory environment. Collaboration and team work is your preferred way of working. You must speak and write English fluently.

Your ability to innovate and add value is essential to the SP Group's continuing ability to retain the trust of its clients. The trust we have earned from our clients is founded on the trust that exists between colleagues, between managers, and between managers and staff. The SP Group provides an open and encouraging working environment where individual employees enjoy considerable freedom. As a member of the SP team, it is important for you to play your part in maintaining this attractive and creative work environment.

The positions will be full time permanent appointments.

For more information contact: Head of section Process Development and Crystallisation, Anna Stenemyr 010-516 65 01.
