What you will be a part of
We strengthen Group ICT in the area of sourcing and contract management
Group ICT, Saabs IS / IT delivery organization, provides all of Saab common IT-related services, which include technology solutions, applications, development, management, operation and support. Based on business needs ICT defines and develops new IT services as well as operate and supporting existing IT services.
Saab is growing and we foresee an increased need to source IT related work from external suppliers. To secure a High level of delivery we must therefore build up a department with focus on strategic sourcing including contract management of ongoing major contracts. The coming years we will also have a focus on rationalisation and consolidation of the current supply chain.
Your role
As a Sourcing & Contract Director you be part of a small team building Saab IT Sourcing Strategy and also securing our challenge to increase the efficiency and at the same time lower costs. The work includes planning of and participation in negotiations. Travel will be on regular basis both domestically and abroad. Also monitoring ongoing major contracts in line with decided governance model will be a part of your daily work.
Your skills and experience
We believe that you have a good understanding of complex IT environments and contracts to be able to succeed in this role. As a Sourcing & Contract Manager you must be able to build long term relations on Highest level with our Strategic Suppliers and at the same time be strong against them in negotiations and follow up on their deliveries. Internal interaction equally important to all Key Stake holders. You also need to have a good knowledge of spoken and written English.
It is also considered a merit if you are knowledgeable in international business culture.
As a person, you are performance orientated and have ability to handle relations and keep focus even when negotiations get rough. After contract gets into operational mode it is natural for you to do follow up and together with the involved teams secure agreed deliveries.
