Scania has taken the lead in the journey towards a sustainable transport system. After the launch our new truck generation, time has come for buses. The project has started and we need more colleagues to help us finish on time.
Global Purchasing has its headquarters in Södertälje and bus body purchasing is part of it. We are represented in Sweden, China, Poland and Finland. Focus on material cost is crucial thus purchasing excellence is key for profit or loss.
Our team consists of 34 highly motivated individuals with different nationalities and background. We purchase parts for our internal manufacturing sites in Poland and Finland interacting with an engineering organization localized in Sweden, Poland and Finland. In addition, we are responsible for the partnership with bus manufacturer Higer in China and externally bought bus bodies.
We are now seeking a Sourcing Manager for one of the key positions in our team
We offer you a job were you will be responsible for sourcing parts to our manufacturing sites in Poland and Finland. In close collaboration with our Research & Development departments you will ensure to have the right products, at the right cost on time. It will require you to participate early in Product Development projects challenging technical concepts and later in the process to project manage the implementation of parts including technical changes. You will play a key role in ensuring a successful launch of our new bus generation.
You are a structured person with a strong commercial interest and a high result focus who dares to challenge. You have an ability to develop and sustain a broad network of contacts both internally and externally. Most probably you have heard from others that your communication and presentation skills are great. Grit is a part of your personality, you sustain and continue until the job is done.
Previous experience of purchasing is favorable
