One of our Sourcing Managers is moving on within Scania and we are now looking for a replacement!
ME- THE RECRUITING MANAGER
Before I started working within Scania Purchasing 10 years ago, I worked as a Marketing Manager at a smaller company supplying Scania. I am just over 50 years old and I like doing business and helping others to develop. I spend my free time with my friends and family in Eskilstuna, as well as running and playing golf. People view me as a calm, confident and fun person. I do value diversity, respect for individuals and people who share their energy and knowledge with others.
THE GROUP
The Commodity Brakes & Chassis Components group is part of the Metal & Chassis department.The group's main task is to ensure that we have capacity at our suppliers and to reduce Scania's material costs. The group consists equally of men and women, and includes a wide range of nationalities and ages. We get on well together and complement one another. We love sharing our knowledge and having fun together.
YOU
It would be a benefit if you have worked a few years within sales or purchasing and are commercially driven with an interest in technology, ready for the challenge of complex products and suppliers. You want to develop and you have courage enough to make mistakes. Reliability will be a strong characteristic, and good organisational skills will be appreciated. You feel secure in your surroundings and you are able to handle many tasks in parallel. You should also be motivated to fulfil our savings goals and continuously improve Scania's business and profitability. You need to have a long term commitment to be able to succeed in this role. You are also fluent in English. Knowledge of Swedish would be an advantage
THE TASK
As a Sourcing Manager in this Medium Complexity role you will be responsible for some strategic important material groups within our Commodity Brakes & Chassis Components, which involves extensive contact both within and outside purchasing. The pace is fast and, within the commercial area, you will make new good deals with both short- and long-term perspective. The strategic work takes place together with others like R&D, Project Purchasing, SQA, Scania Latin America and MAN in Munich.
