You:
You appreciate working in a dynamic, team-work oriented way and are engaged to making a difference. You like to learn new things and want to see the opportunity in any situation with sharp and challenging suppliers. We appreciate that you hold a degree in engineering, business administration or similar meriting experience corresponding to 2-5 years
Our team:
How we work: In our team we are proud to directly impact the result of Scanias long term business and profitability - by challenging the what, how and when of our business. If you are excited to support us in this, with the core values of Scania, in strengthening our internal and external communication and efficiency - we would like to welcome you to SMI and Project purchasing at Chassis & Metal.
What we do: We purchase the new parts & components for any new project introduced in Scanias portfolio of development. We work early in the process supporting our technical department in identifying cost efficient methods and matching them with the best strategically suitable suppliers in the market. In doing this we ensure that Scania remains the high quality output with the right cost input, and directly impacting our company result.
Who we are: We are 8 individuals working in a variety of segments, from Scania designed sheet metal parts to Exhaust assemblies, newly merged from 2 separate groups and are getting to know each other and sharing our knowledge. We are from all around the world and have together lived in more than 7 countries
The role:
As a Sourcing Manager in our team, you would be responsible for the component prototype purchasing and deliveries of 3 segments in team with 3 responsible colleagues, following the development dialogue as it happens and ensure we are commercially taking the right path to validate and identify the best technology for the future of Scania.
To be happy in this role we believe that it would help you to be structured and communicative, as you will be in contact with many people, internal Scania as well as suppliers, and need to be attentive to details as well as clearly communicate requirements and consequences.
Your manager:
I am driven by the purpose of our tasks and focus on ensuring we all are working in the same direction and in a respectful way. Results are important to me but the methodology is the essential aspect and I am adamant that we always act in accordance with our core values at Scania. I believe that in order to succeed you must feel that you are in the right place.
Our culture:
Scanias culture is characterised by openness, diversity and respect for the individual. As our people is our most important resource, we invest in employee training and utilize the knowledge of our global work environment and personnel perspectives. We will give you the opportunity to develop your skills so you can grow with us, if you are ready to take on this journey.
