Sourcing manager Engine Components
As Sourcing Manager you will be responsible with your co-workers:
To drive in collaboration with the Business Package Team the development of the purchasing strategy
To implement the decided strategy through supplier selection for new projects
To enhance the supplier relationship for the sets of supplier you are responsible for.

Your portfolio is one of the main challenging and visible in the purchasing organization with the following characteristics:
Spend: 200 M?.
Segments: Mix of segment being allocated among strategic, leverage and bottleneck.
Suppliers: Mainly global suppliers.

Main activities and responsibilities

The responsibility covers the development of the engine component purchasing strategies, the sourcing activities up to contract signature and the management of the overall supplier relationship, in coordination with the Business Package Team, GTO, Product Planning, Engineering, Range & Projects and the Business Areas that you will supply.

The main external interfaces will be the supplier?s sales department and supplier?s management teams.

As manager, an important part of your activities will be to organize, structure & drive efficiently your team and continuously inspire, challenge and develop your co-workers in order to reach the agreed targets.

You will report to the Sourcing director for Base Engine, Auxiliaries & Hybrids and be a member of the extended management team of Sourcing Powertrain.

Specific activities & responsibilities
• Develop and Consolidate the Axle segment strategies with cross functional approval
• Source the products at the best possible QDCF level
• Secure the delivery of the annual or long term contracts negotiation & signature

Education and Experience
• Hold a university degree and / or a MBA
• Minimum of 5 years of management in purchasing, project and/ or supply chain
• Preferably experience from the automotive industry
• Formal training in leadership, communication and people skills would be valuable
• Solid negotiator
• Fluent in English

Competence required for the position
• Able to demonstrate successful international business experience within a global network
• Knowledgeable in current and future business trends, technology and markets
• Strong knowledge in the purchasing sourcing area and contract management
• Anticipate problems and roadblocks, Face problems and act quickly.
• Able to deal with financial and legal matters
