Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a leading supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to providing complete and sustainable transport solutions. Together with TRATON and our sister brands MAN, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and International, we are working to shape the future of mobility with innovative and environmentally conscious solutions.
Our values - customer first, respect, team spirit, responsibility, and elimination of waste - are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we are at the forefront of creating a sustainable future.
Role Summary
We are now searching for a new colleague for our team to step into the sourcing manager role for hoses and pipes. It is a high impact scope across TRATON with clear responsibility, visibility, and room to grow. Join our diverse group in a challenging and exciting business environment.
Job Responsabilities
Exterior is a dynamic area with a high impact on cost, delivery stability, and sustainability.
You will:
Own a segment and define the supplier base and strategies for the material group
Align strategies cross functionally and across TRATON
Build strong supplier relationships, manage opportunities and risks, and mitigate disturbances with our risk management colleagues
Create and deliver business plan activities that secure competitive prices and target achievement
Lead the X-ring team across brands and functions to set strategies, plans, and measurable goals across technology, quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability
Drive continuous improvement in collaboration, ways of working, and strategy definition
Exercise to act and develop leadership by running 3-ring forums and co-leading work with other TRATON brands

Who You Are
You will work across TRATON, collaborating with several brands and functions. You do not need to have everything "fully figured out" from day one, but you should be comfortable coordinating stakeholders, turning input into clear plans, and following through to results.
You build trust easily, internally and externally. You ask good questions, stay curious, and enjoy improving how things work, not just maintaining them.
What we are looking for:
Around 3+ years of relevant sourcing experience
Experience from automotive is a strong plus
Experience with rubber or plastics sourcing is highly desirable
Analytical and structured, able to run your own work while keeping key stakeholders aligned
Clear and professional communicator, comfortable presenting your work to others
Fluent in spoken and written English, other languages are a plus
Graduated as engineer, business administration or similiar
Self-driven development

We value people who take ownership of their learning curve. You actively seek feedback, use it to improve, and take initiative on your next steps. You do not wait for someone to map your growth for you, but you are expected to learn through collaboration, not in isolation. You set goals, track progress, and follow through.
This Is Us
The Exterior team develops our supplier base, manages ongoing business, and sets global strategies in an international environment. We are 10 purchasers with a wide mix of backgrounds and strengths. We solve problems together, share knowledge openly, and continuously improve how we work. We keep our promises, try new approaches, and support one another.
Scania Offers
We offer a dynamic, flexible workplace with hybrid work options, including Scania Sergel and Midway hubs. With a structured development plan and courses, Scania supports your career growth both locally and internationally.
Benefits include training at our health center Gröndal or wellness allowance, result bonus, flexible hours, and company car leasing. Scania also hosts events for employees and their families, and Stockholm residents enjoy direct access to Södertälje via Scania Job express buses.
Application
Your application should include a CV and any relevant certificates. Internal applicants from Scania Procurement will be given priority for this position. Candidates from the wider TRATON Group (including brands) are welcome to apply and will be reviewed based on business needs.
Apply as soon as possible, no later than 2026-04-07. Screening will take place on an ongoing basis during the application period. Logical and personality tests may be used as part of the selection process, and a background check may be required for this role.
