The team members of Commodity Interior Purchasing are working in a dynamic environment where strategy definition for the segment, development of new Interior components to Scania products and cost efficiency activities are the main part of our work.
Your activities
As a Commodity Sourcing Manager you are accountable for the strategies and targets within one of Scania purchasing's most dynamic segments with high volume value and great saving potentials.
You will have the lead role in the purchasing 3-ring with a team of SQA and project purchasers where you will support and align activities to ensure the strategies. In your team you also work close to the segment support who will manage the defined operative task within the segment.
In your daily work you will also negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, coordinate and align activities closely with purchasing counterparts in the Traton group, perform strategic nominations of new business together with the project purchasers as well as working to align and improve processes within the Interior area.
You will have plenty of contacts internally at purchasing but also cross functionally with production and logistics. Externally you will also have the responsibility of interface with our supplier base, giving you the opportunity to build a broad network and to really make a difference with your ideas and your daily work.

Your profile
Thanks to the variety of challenges and tasks in this medium complexity segment, we are looking for an equivalent level to a Sourcing Manager or someone with similar ambitions.
In order to succeed in this role you need to be result-oriented, proactive and have the ability to drive multiple activities in parallel in a structured way.
As your work includes a lot of interactions at different levels, both internally and cross-functionally, it is important that you are a team player, have the ability to collaborate, build trust and are clear in your communication with others, have high integrity.
You are interested in developing yourself and your role and feel comfortable challenging yourself and others in order to achieve the best result - you present solutions instead of obstacles.
You are structured, organized, flexible, take own initiatives, are able to handle multiple open cases, have technical | commercial interest and like to do business and negotiate.
You are able to perform management presentations where your recommendation/point is made clear and you have the ability to summarize the most important information/results.
As the role involves international network and communication, you are fluent in writing and speaking English.
You have at least 2 years of purchasing experience and are ready to take on a more senior role with strategic mindset.
