We are now seeking our next Product Sourcing Leader to our Global Sourcing Components team! This position has global responsibility for ensuring Security of Supply and negotiating with suppliers to achieve Cost reduction targets for our high tech instruments, mainly within the mechanical/stainless steel area.
The role requires significant cross-functional working to ensure Sourcing strategies are aligned with those of Product management and Manufacturing.
Essential Responsibilities
The jobholder will identify and drive sourcing initiatives across assigned Materials/Modality to improve material productivity, utilization of Low Cost Countries and reduction of Single/Sole supply risk, while improving supply Quality and On-Time delivery.
Using the most appropriate Sourcing tools, responsible for enhancing Security of Supply in the most cost-effective manner.
Negotiate Cost Reduction from suppliers and technology providers to agreed goals.
Ensure that New Product Introduction (NPI) programs adhere to pre-agreed cost and timing objectives.
Leadership in driving supply management, supporting NPI.
Key focal point for all Supply issues pertaining to New Product Introductions as well as current production component obsolescence and quality.
Program management of all NPI deliverables required establishing an optimal supply for each product launch.
Partner with internal business clients to develop long term initiatives and supply requirements.
Lead Supplier Qualification, Quality Plan implementation, and Change Management processes; Drive continuous improvements within the assigned area.
Maintain and actively manage a defined portfolio of projects to meet annual objectives.
Identify and execute projects with the Global Sourcing Team and its key stakeholders.
Set up and maintain sourcing/supply related information in Life Science?s information systems (e.g. JDE, Oracle).
This role will be located in Sweden, Umeå or Uppsala.
Bachelor Degree in engineering.
Qualifications/Requirements
At least 3+ years experience in commercial sourcing as well as mechanical/stainless steel sourcing.
Experience working in a global/international business environment.
Cooperative and teamwork orientated.
Experience in leading cross-functional teams to significant accomplishments; drive change across functional & global teams.
Excellent commercial and negotiation skills as well as business acumen.
Energetic, decisive "self-starter" with strong consistent execution and focus on accurate priorities and solve problems in a resourceful manner.
Fluency in English language.
Ability to travel internationally when necessary
Desired Characteristics
Swedish language skills.
Experience in the Healthcare, Life Science or related industry
