Their main office is based in the south of Sweden and have a wide range of consumer home products. They believe the key to their succes is a professional cooperation between Design, Production and Logistics. Production is done by their carefully selected suppliers in close and long term cooperation with their Purchasing teams.
To handle the challenges of growth and expansion and to further develop the supplier relations our customer now look for additional team players to their Supply Chain team. Over all, they offer assignments with high speed and demanding responsibilities in an international environment.
THE ASSIGNMENT:
You will lead sourcing activities mainly linked to the product development process and take responsibility for
sourcing products in a specific range within the category framework.
Your responsibilities will consist of the following:
• securing that all articles are sourced within the category framework
• being a link between the Division area and Category by communicating range needs and priorities as
well as category strategies.
• securing sustainability as an integral part of our business
• actively monitoring markets, competitors and suppliers
• securing that each product has a correct landed price to retail
• actively leading sourcing activities in the product development process securing the development on
the factory floor
• evaluating material and technique choices related to cost, capacity, quality and sustainability
• contract reviewing and close co-operation with the internal trading function of the company to
evaluate and secure supplier performance
• assessing sourcing risks on an article level and securing sourcing set-ups accordingly
• analysing forecasts in relation to capacities on article level
BACKGROUND & QUALIFICATIONS:
You have 3-5 years of experience with proven track record in a related field of work, experience of negotiations and good knowledge of the product development process.
We also expect you to have a university degree in technology, business administration or corresponding, as well as good knowledge in the English language.
