Procurement represents a strategically very important function within our company and the business demands on Procurement are growing rapidly. We are therefore strengthening Maquet Critical Care's Sourcing & Supplier Management team with a Sourcing Area Manager! This role offers an excellent opportunity for a talented and dedicated Procurement professional to become part of a global and fast-paced manufacturing organization!
The position
The Sourcing & Supplier Management team's role is to ensure that Maquet Critical Care has a supplier base that enables the business to achieve its objectives with regards to quality, supply capability and cost. The scope of the role covers Supplier Management, Sourcing in product development and new product introduction projects and Category Management.
Some of your key tasks include:
• Ensure compliance vs internal processes and external requirements
• Improve supplier performance wrt quality and supply
• Identify and drive cost down initiatives
• Support development projects
• Supplier Management:
o Measure performance & drive improvement
o Lead business review meetings and yearly supplier qualification/re-evaluations
o Contract management
o Manage supplier master data (SAP)
• Sourcing:
o Evaluate, make or buy options
o Run, evaluate RFIs/RFQs and select supplier
o Negotiate contracts
• Category Management:
o Within assigned category identify cost reduction opportunities
o Ensure good understanding of business demand and supplier market development
o Work with Global Category Manager to develop global strategies
The position will support the local business in Solna but will belong to Maquet's global Procurement organization.
National and international travel, including overnight stays is estimated to 10-20 days per year.
The ideal candidate
As ideal for the position you have a minimum of three years of experience from strategic purchasing within a global manufacturing company. Some of your key characteristics include:
• University degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration
• Experienced from working in cross-functional teams
• Proven track record from improving supplier performance
• Expertise in procurement processes
• Good knowledge of supply chain management
• Understanding of international law
• SAP knowledge is beneficial
• Procurement certification, CISilf or equivalent is favorable
• Full proficiency in English and Swedish, both in oral and written
As a person you are self-propelled, results-oriented and curious with an eagerness to continue to learn and develop. Your strong interpersonal skills and integrity enable you to negotiate and influence both internal and external stakeholders and you have the patience and confidence to take lead on and prosecute the improvement processes within your area. The ability to work independently without strict guidelines in a dynamic environment is another key success-factor in the role.
