Avalanche Studios is currently looking for an experienced Sound Programmer to help contribute to the future success of the studio
We require an experienced sound programmer with at least 2 years of development experience for current generation consoles. This is a position within one of several high profile unannounced AAA titles, for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, with some of the world’s most distinguished publishers.
The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated individual who is good at communicating and working within cross-discipline teams. The candidate should also have the ability to plan and carry out programming tasks to required levels of quality and on time.
Experience we consider valuable includes:
General sound system development and physics sound system development in particular
DSP programming,
Audio codec experience
Distributed programming for consoles
Low-level programming
Profiling / optimization
Streaming / resource management
Experience from tools, build systems and compiler pipelines
Scripting (python or similar)
