What you would do as our Solutions Architect - Hardware
The Solutions Architect Hardware will be responsible for our Access Controls product portfolio, supporting the Global Solutions Chief Technology Officer in all aspects of hardware and firmware development strategy. Within this role, you will develop cross-divisional relationships with all Business Areas, understanding your customers' needs, and providing support on the selection of our technologies and architecture. Your role will be crucial for developing a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing and reducing duplication across the Division.
You would also:
• constantly be gaining an understanding of Business Areas current product portfolio's, ongoing development projects and future technology needs
• support the division and the individual Business Areas where needed on Mergers and Acquisition activities
• participate in related Group initiatives and ensure this is fed back across the division
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
• has a solid understanding of hardware & firmware design and architecture, with demonstrated hands-on experience in RnD development
• has previous experience in a strategy-shaping roles, including long term vision development and the ability to formulate and deploy this in an effective way.
• has excellent understanding of how products and technologies can be combined to create superior solutions
• has ability to communicate technical matters for a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including non-technical ones
• has excellent negotiations skills and ability to influence and guide
