Within Volvo Cars the Solution Vehicle Tophat has the competence to deliver optimized, high quality and affordable design solutions as part of an attractive personalized consumer offer. We develop sustainable and safe Tophats to provide freedom in a changing society.
The Solution Vehicle Tophat is responsible for development of the complete Tophat content distributed in the ARTs Interior Room, Seats and Safety, Exterior Front and Rear, Exterior systems and Interior Trim and Systems. There are also shared service teams with focus on Interior Surface Materials, the two attribute areas Ergonomics and Perceived Quality and also Quality and Launch.
What's in it for you?
We are now looking for an additional team member to strengthen our Solution Engineer/ Architect team by adding more SW experience and competence.
You will be an important part of our organization by supporting our Solution from a SW development and SW way of working perspective.
You will be a part of our Solution Architect team defining a common technical and architectural vision for the Solution. This includes defining the systems, functions, modules, interfaces, validate technology assumptions, and evaluate alternatives within the solution context.
What you'll do
You will coach and drive the implementation of new way of working and quality assurance within the SW development area.
In this role you will provide technical leadership for evolving architectural capabilities of the entire solution, mainly with focus on SW development.
You will also participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the solution offer and explore alternatives.
Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for an innovative person with a holistic view, who is interested in technical development and have a high level of technical knowledge, mainly within SW development.
You should have extensive networking skills and good teamwork abilities, meaning able to share knowledge and information. At the same time, you should be confident and able to work individually as well. Further, we need you to be interested in driving and implementing changes, be result oriented and be able to balance requirement and solutions.
We think you have a University degree in SW Engineering or equivalent. We hope you have documented experience from software development or project management of software development.
You have experience from defining architecture and solutions, preferably cross-platform and/or complex environments.
You are familiar with concepts such as CI/CD, cybersecurity and embedded software development. If you have experience from the automotive area it is a merit.
