Our Technology teams are responsible of the development and operation of our global connectivity backend platform - and your experience is needed.
We are now looking for a Solution Engineer (a technically skilled Business Analyst) within the product domain called Service Management. It includes features to manage vehicles and the activation of the connected services that the dealer network sells to our customers.
The Position
As a Solution Engineer you play a key role, knowing the current system behaviour, capturing business needs and recommending new functionality in the system. You will work closely with the domain architect and the software engineers in our team, but also with colleagues in other product domain teams to identify our part of the end-to-end solution.
You are the bridge between stakeholders and the software engineering team, defining requirements to explain WHAT is needed and WHY. Requirement breakdown into test cases and acceptance criteria is the central part of your work. Being a product-oriented team with domain expertise we want to be seen as a partner more than just someone who delivers according to a provided specification. Therefore, a constructive and cooperative relation with stakeholders and colleagues is the basis for your work, which includes these responsibilities:
Provide detailed functional and non-functional requirements as testable acceptance criteria, including recommendations on incremental deliveries when suitable
Find cost-effective and smart high-quality features fitting our product domain
Support the team along the development process, handle changes when needed
Contribute to verification of acceptance criteria
Work closely with domain team with continuous improvements to ensure products and solutions are available and working properly
Your profile
We are looking for a person with a positive attitude and excellent analytical skills. Someone who is curious about our business, passionate about technology, has a "can do" attitude to find the optimal solution. You need to be a team player, but also to have the skills to plan, prioritize and drive your work independently.
Your personality is your major reason for success, but we think you probably have:
A university degree in Information Science, Software Engineering, or similar
Documented experience as Solution Engineer, Business Analyst or System Analyst working with requirement management in an agile manner. Alternatively, you have a solid background as Test Manager (in an agile context) and have a clear ambition to advance in the requirement management area
Experience from the automotive industry and preferably connectivity/telematics
Fluent in English - both written and spoken. At least basic skills in Swedish are highly preferred
