You will be part of an engaged team consisting of people from Service market logistics together with Group Digit that are dedicated in launching next generation of planning solution for the aftermarket of AB Volvo.

Service Market Logistics is supporting the global aftermarket of AB Volvo with accurate spare parts at the right point in time. In order to assure this we have an extensive application portfolio maintained within CPA Service Market Logistics. The journey of digitizing the business domain is in full speed and there are currently a number of large initiatives ongoing to take the aftermarket into the future and One of these is PlanIT.
PlanIT consists of a number of product built on Azure cloud platform. Our aim is to apply the latest technique when it comes to Azure cloud and combine that with utilization of data from the data layer according to Nort Star architecture. All with the aim to take spare part planning into the future.
We are a global team with focus on Gothenburg collaborating daily in maintaining, enhancing and rolling out the solution. As solution architect you are expected to have a close cooperation with our full global team. Your belonging will be in the Platform team where we secure consistency in the solution and drive the technical roadmap.
Who are you?
You are a senior person with a genuine technical background including a number of years of experience from development and IT architecture. As a person you appreciate a lot of concurrent ongoing activities but at the same time always deliver with quality. You are curious and is eager to understand and learn to be able to take correct decisions. You get energized by working in teams and take pride in having helped a colleague.
You have documentation skills and can explain complex problems in a way that people understand. Since PlanIT is a product in the middle of a quite complex structure you need to have a holistic view to assure uptime from end to end perspective.
You are open-minded, positive, creative, and a person that makes a difference. You can take decisions quickly and enjoy solving problems while collaborating with your network to deliver high quality solutions. You have a strong drive to continuously challenge and improve.

Responsibilities
Make fact-based architectural decisions assuring maximal business value and at the same time assure consistency throughout the product.
Translate business requirements into IT architecture and describing it through design artefacts.
Ensure that the solution design is in line with the Volvo Group target architecture (North Star) and architectural principles
Ensure usage of shared technical standards, tools, and platforms
Review deliverables, oversee progress and ensure consistency.
Manage IT integration solutions using relevant platforms, support services, methods and guidelines
Proactively identify architectural issues and concerns and define cost efficient, pragmatic and appropriate solutions
Drive technical agenda of portfolio and assure correct prioritization of technical issues in backlog refinement team
Align with Volvo Group Security directives and fulfilling the customer demands for information security
Define technical standards and practices that should be applied in the development process.

Required competencies
A university degree in Computer science or similar
Experience from software engineering, agile development and continues improvements
Strong solution architecture patterns knowledge and wide experience as a Solution Architect.
Cloud Architecture knowledge (Azure) for Analytics Solutions.
Experience with Event Driven Architecture (EDA) patterns.
Real-time data analytics platforms overall knowledge.
Experience of integration patterns for data streaming, API communication etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with business-leaders/stakeholders etc.
Leadership skills to guide and collaborate effectively with DevOps teams.
Fluent in English (both verbal & written
Nice to have:
Experience with data streaming and integration patterns approved by Volvo.
Python/JAVA knowledge and its usage for analytics solutions.
Proficiency in working with NoSQL databases (CosmosDB).
Data Analytics and Data Engineering knowledge.
Microservice architecture knowledge and experience
Experience with container orchestration like Kubernetes or OpenShift. Apache Spark knowledge.
Supply Chain business knowledge.
