Stena Line's Transformation department are working on initiatives across the business. In our People department we are working on numerous projects, that together forms "OneHR", where this role will have a key part in. For example, we are implementing a HR system across all regions to better work with our most important asset, our people.
What will you do?
Everyone can use a bit of guidance through the clouds (even a digital cloud). As a Solution Architect you oversee the overall technical vision that supports the business vision for your area. You verify that IT solutions are implemented in a way so they can be maintained over a long time. It is your responsibility to make sure that the solutions work in relation to other affected IT solutions at Stena Line and that the cooperation with Stena Group IT (DevOps) works well. You also ensure that regular security and architectural audits are performed. It will be important that you can balance functional and non-functional requirements to present relevant information that eases prioritization and compromises. You will work in close cooperation with the OneHR projects as well as with your colleague architects in achieving good solutions.
Some of your key responsibilities:
• Assist the teams in translating organisational needs into technical requirements or solutions, while constantly evaluating and balancing cost versus value
• Assess technology choices based on enterprise recommendations and knowledge of the range of IT solutions within Stena Line Transformations
• Ensure that solutions are long-term sustainable and secure interrelations to other affected IT solutions
• Develop and maintain architectural strategy, system- and integration map for HR/People IT solutions
• Work across Transformations and Stena Group IT to discover synergies and set out a common direction
• Be a part of a common Transformations architectural forum
• Ensure that regular security and architectural audits are performed
• Present and discuss technical solutions with non-technical people
• Keep up to date with architectural trends
Who are you?

With your interest in both technology and people you able to represent and understand both perspectives. You also have the ability to present and discuss technical solutions with non-technical people. Your positive attitude and being prestige less are a big asset in your collaboration with others and you enjoy working on team projects. It is also important that you have an analytical mind-set and a structure way of working.
The must-haves:
• Academic degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
• Experience as Solution Architect
• Technical knowledge of domain modelling
• Good knowledge in Integration and cloud solution technologies
• Domain knowledge from HR/People area is a plus!
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
