Who you are
Alfa Laval invests in the field of separation technology with increased focus on advanced computer simulation methods like FEM, CFD and Optimization. We are looking for passionate, driven engineering specialists in Machine Dynamics, Solid Mechanics and Fluid Dynamics who can help us to do even better than we do today.
This recruitment is an expansion as we find numerical simulation increasingly important and needed in the daily product development work.
About the jobWith this position, you will become part of the core competence team of Solid Mechanics. Solid mechanics is a vital part of the product life-cycle and we are involved all the way from conceptual and product development, to sales and service support.
The performance of the separator is, to a large degree, dependent on high rotational speed. This generates great forces and therefore places high demand on both static and fatigue strength. As solid mechanics specialist, you will handle questions regarding the structural integrity of the entire separator.
The group is also responsible for design evaluation methodology and testing technology applied to the separator. The position offers many interesting challenges and opportunities to grow and develop as a solid mechanics specialist.
What you knowWe are looking for a candidate with a university degree in engineering, preferably within the field of Solid Mechanics. The use of more and more complex numerical simulation also demands in-depth knowledge in numerical analysis. Technical understanding in neighboring fields, such as material science, manufacturing technology and mechanical design, is valuable.
Besides a strong profile within your specialist field, you should be analytical, have a genuine curiosity and the ability to acquire new knowledge.
As a technology specialist it is expected that you are a good communicator and can be a strong representative and driver of your subject, within our company.
