We are now looking for a positive person who shares our vision to join our team in Lund. In the role as:
Mechanical CAD Engineer you will work within the Equipment Engineering team on the design realization of Nanowire Production Systems and Equipment.
Working with the engineering team, you will translate hardware concepts into manufacturable designs.
You will be responsible for modifying or producing CAD models, engineering manufacturing drawings and contributing to the upkeep of the internal Product Data Management (PDM). You will also be responsible for providing supporting material for design reviews on your assignments.
Who are we looking for?
• You hold a Bachelor 's degree or equivalent qualification relevant to design and manufacturing and a minimum 5 years ' experience working in a design role. Experience with vacuum systems would be an extra advantage.
• You are proficient with 3D CAD modelling (familiarity with Solid Works and PDM an advantage) and can produce manufacturing drawings according to internal standards.
• You have previous experience from working with specialist machine shops, be conversant with welding and joining processes and advanced manufacturing techniques. You are also comfortable with supporting purchasing activities.
• You are flexible, organized and a self-motivated driver who can be relied on to contribute to projects being delivered on time.
• You are excited about being part of a high-energy start-up and are prepared to be flexible and help out with tasks that lie outside of your usual responsibility area when needed.
• You are comfortable communicating in English.
