hela Sverige Danfoss Software Solution Services is looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our team in Älmhult, Sweden. You will be part of a team that works with testing of software application solutions for the agricultural, construction and material handling off-highway mobile markets.
As Software Test Engineer, you will play an important role in our overall software development process. Your role is to create, execute and maintain automated tests to ensure the embedded software and features work as intended throughout the product development and release process. Because the Software Test Engineer will be testing the embedded software on our automated test environment, the testing scope goes beyond unit testing and instead focuses on how to best ensure software quality by developing software tests that can run on a variety of hardware configurations and across a variety of test environments.
Your areas of responsibility are to:
Execute embedded software test projects from planning through maintenance for new and existing products
Develop and maintain automated verification test programs for testing software functionality
Analyze regression test runs and perform other maintenance testing as well as manual verification testing
Maintain the automated test environment in order to support various test requests from colleagues
In this position you can expect up to 10% travelling, so you must be willing and able to travel.
Background and Skills
To be successful in this position, we expect you to have a Bachelor's degree in Software/Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science Engineering combined with strong analytical and technical skills. A Master's within advanced course work in areas relevant to product development is preferred but not mandatory. Furthermore, you have:
4+ years of experience in creating and maintaining test plans/cases/reports and other documentation
Experience in creating and maintaining automated tests as well as ability to predict reliability of the software
Knowledge about various test environments (such as simulation, emulators, HIL, prototypes, and released products)
Programming experience, preferably in Python or any other modern programming language.
The ability to work with electrical hardware in a test environment
The ability to read schematics and work with test equipment (DMM, oscilloscopes, function generator, etc.)
Experience with Software Configuration Management tools such as Git, SVN etc.
Preferred Skills would be experience with Azure DevOps, LabVIEW, NI TestStand and testing control electronics and embedded software
Fluency and comprehensiveness in English
