Software test developer for integrated driveline systems
Scania is transforming itself from a supplier of trucks, buses and engines into a supplier of complete, sustainable transport solutions.
Are you a test developer who understands the importance of environmentally friendly and sustainable transport?
This is what we are working towards every day. If you are ready for new challenges and want to help develop a test organisation that works closely with function developers to create an increasingly global product, then we want to grow with you. As a test developer, you will acquire extensive knowledge of the driveline management system and gain a good overview of the interaction between the software functions.
The job is very varied and requires good cooperation skills along the entire development chain, because all the driveline software is developed in-house at Scania. The network of contacts you build up will give you good opportunities for development throughout the organisation.
We value creativity, problem-solving ability and critical thinking very highly and a characteristic feature of the group is its determination to continuously improve. We also offer a pleasant work environment and a good work/life balance.
As a test developer for driveline management systems, you will join a team of software developers so that you are close to the function development process and can provide feedback from testing quickly.
The opportunities for personal and professional development within the group are very good. Depending on your interests, you will have the chance to become an expert in test development or to take responsibility for a specialist group, including planning and deliverables within the group.
We are looking for someone who is particularly passionate about test development and about the quality assurance of new functions in Scania's driveline management system. In this area, there are plenty of intellectual challenges for anyone with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
Your role
You will analyse new functionality in the driveline management units on the basis of functional descriptions and functional requirements. Using modern, well-established test methods, you will develop regression tests for new functionality taking a risk-based approach in order to ensure that we have the best products on the market.
We use a variety of test environments including SIL, HIL and vehicles and you will try out new methods and ideas so that you can constantly identify better ways of verifying the products of the future in conventional and electrified drivelines.
Your profile
You are methodical and curious and you have a degree in mechanical, electrical or data engineering or the equivalent. Experience of and interest in vehicles, software development, system testing or engine development are a bonus.
You are inspired by technical challenges. You have the ability to understand complex problems quickly and a determination to find creative solutions together with your colleagues. You can program and you have a car driving licence and good spoken and written English. A knowledge of Swedish is an advantage.
