Husqvarna Construction is probably best known as a world leader in machinery and diamond tools for the construction and stone industries. At their core they develop drive systems which includes power electronics and hard real time software. They also do software for machine behavior, diagnostics, connectivity, and user interfaces. The department Electronics and Software is responsible for all electronics and software within Husqvarna Construction and together with your team you will contribute to even better products. What do we need?
We are looking for a Team Lead with solid technical understanding, a holistic product perspective and a great interest in people, to join our team. The department Electronics and Software always have several different projects ongoing which cover the entire product life cycle, i.e., concepts, new construction, and improvements development. We want you to facilitate and guide our dynamic software teams in developing new and existing products.
As our Team Lead the key objective is to enable the team to effectively deliver business value. This is usually done by:
• Close collaboration and communication with the product owners and other engineering disciplines, as well as production and sourcing.
• Complete responsibility for the delivery of software by facilitating and guiding the software teams.
• Ensuring that a technical roadmap is in place and being followed, and technical debt is being managed.
• Identifying any problems, whether they're related to processes, products, or specific people, and taking actions to solve those.
• Mentoring and supporting team members.
What you need to be successful:
We hope that you are as passionate about software and solving interesting problems as we are. We see that you can't wait to contribute to great products that not only works, but also makes you proud. It is important that you are comfortable with discussing complex technical problems with your team, as well as product owners and other engineering disciplines. You are also confident in leading a team and have experience from working in an agile environment with multiple teams, where you can make decisions whenever needed.
Besides this, we believe that you have a higher education within software or equivalent area. We see that you have some years of experience within software development in autonomous teams, with the mindset of freedom under responsibility. Linguistically you are fluent, written and spoken, in English and hopefully Swedish too. You do have a great sense to take actions, have the ability to bring people along but are un prestigious and therefore not uncomfortable to ask for support when needed.
