Vehicle infotainment systems contain a growing set of functionality, which in production today includes radio tuners, media, navigation, handsfree, speech, vehicle functions, connectivity/connected applications. Within the standard interfaces includes such as MOST, LVDS, Flexray, LIN, Ethernet, USB. Our daily work includes transforming ideas into innovations to meet the high standards of future vehicles. We use the latest technologies and advanced methods to develop the safest car in the world and offer our customers a genuine driving experience
As a Software Responsible, you will be part of a cross functional team with project manager, SW/HW specialists and several function/system designers. Volvo Cars infotainment systems are developed jointly with partners and suppliers as well as in house. Your main task is to be responsible for software development processes, specifications and coordination of software functionality development. You will work closely with suppliers and be part of an international team to secure the delivery of infotainment systems to Volvo Cars vehicle programs.
Main responsibilities
* Coordinate software development in the area of base concept requirements as well as functional development
* Coordinate software releases and software specifications
* Monitor partners/suppliers/inhouse software development and validation activities
Required qualifications
* M.Sc. degree in engineering or a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
* Experience from the automotive industry or the consumer market
* 5 years experience of SW development process and project process
* Driver's license
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken
* Ability to travel

* You have a high level of energy, you are self-going and a team player
* You have excellent communication skills to match the demands of an international work environment
* You are flexible, creative and like to find alternative solutions to solve upcoming problems
