About the Role
You will join an automotive development environment focused on braking systems for both conventional and AD-controlled vehicles. The team is expanding in-house software development alongside supplier-delivered solutions and exploring future technologies such as brake-by-wire and redundant systems.
In this role, you will take ownership of software-related work for deceleration and braking functionality, working close to the product and validating solutions in real vehicles, rigs, and lab environments. You will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers, help shape software releases, and contribute to safe, high-quality solutions throughout the development process. This is an exciting opportunity if you want to influence next-generation brake systems in a technically advanced domain.
Job DescriptionYou will drive software-related activities for braking components and help move development forward from concept to release.
You will verify functionality independently and together with the team in vehicles, rigs, and lab environments.
You will coordinate and execute software releases with focus on timing, quality, and technical readiness.
You will act as a key interface between internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
You will manage supplier dialogue, including software requirement specification work.
You will develop release plans and coordinate verification and validation activities.
You will support quality, safety, compliance, and documentation throughout the development process.
You will contribute to aftermarket support and continuous quality improvements.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
3-5 years of relevant experience in software development and management.
Strong hands-on software development experience and a solid software background.
Experience working close to the product and testing solutions in practice.
Experience with Vector tools and CANoe.
Knowledge of functional safety, including ISO 26262, and A-SPICE.
Experience with vehicle diagnostics using UDS and communication via CAN/CAN-FD.
Strong communication and documentation skills in English.
Ability to complete a basic background check.
Nice to haveStrong knowledge of brake systems.
Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations.
Driving licence.
