The Digital Machining Business department team plays a crucial part in taking the lead regarding strategic direction of our digital solutions and offer to our customers. Within our Digital Machining Business, we explore new market opportunities, define, develop and deliver digital solutions (software and sensors) within the process monitoring area (CoroPlus Process Control. Our aim is to grow our business within the Digital Machining area, securing growth and a leading market position through establishing strategic partnerships, machine tool integration and developing digital solutions, and intelligent machining technologies.
Our business consists of two areas: Design and Planning, and Machining. We are now looking for a Software Product Manager for CoroPlus Process Control Offer with a passion for developing solutions in a team environment - someone who wants to be part of a new and creative area in our business with exciting future career opportunities. The location for this position is Sandviken, Sweden or Aachen, Germany where our R&D facility is based. Travel is a natural part of the job.
Key performance areas
In this position, you contribute to shaping our future offering within industrial solutions utilizing the latest software and hardware-based applications and technological developments for our Process Control Offer. You are responsible for managing the software/hardware product business plan and ensuring a competitive offering that delivers value to our customer base. This work includes looking at customer experience, identifying customer needs and pain points, then prioritizing new solutions and developing business cases. Working in close collaboration with the internal organization, external partners and our customers, you are heavily involved in ongoing system development for both software and hardware. Success in this area will, in turn, ensure we meet our customers' demands for developing an attractive value proposition and a go-to-market model.
Success factors
• Categorizing demands for software integration including IT/IIoT (the Industrial Internet of Things) platforms and
partners' ECO systems; such as software partners, machine tool makers (MTMs) and CAM partners
• Identifying customer demands and requirements for new software and hardware
• Defining and maintaining an active business plan, business model and roadmap for the software offering
• Generating/building a software strategy, including business cases, positioning, pricing and profit margins
• Briefing and training the sales force and performing product demos with customers
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a relevant degree and at least five years' experience as a Software Product Manager or from other Product Manager roles. You have strong software business-development experience from areas such as software and IT services, as well as experience in driving value-based sales processes. In addition, you also have documented experience from developing relationships with senior management and decision-makers, dynamic project management and an in-depth understanding of business and marketing concepts. Knowledge of CAM systems and insights into Industry 4.0 are also needed to succeed. As we work in an international setting, you have excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing, while skills in Swedish are a plus.
