Product Development Unit Traffic Control, PDU-TC, is a Unit at Ericsson which is working in the forefront of 5G development and utilizes technology such as Cloud and Artificial Intelligence.
We now have an opening in the product areas of User Equipment Handling, Cell Handling and Performance Management in Layer 3.
For these positions, we have an opportunity for experienced software craftsmanship driven individuals that wants to work with software architecture and together with others create a state-of-the-art architecture that will support new functional growth and a reliable product for the mobile market together with us!
This job offers a great way of deepening your competence, and as a software developer with us, you will work in a team supporting new functionality development from early phases of ideas and drafts - all the way to customer delivery and learning from the feedback from internal and external customers.
This position gives great opportunity to develop deep product competence in a creative team in an inspiring international environment.
What you will do
Be a technical leader working with software architecture in a dedicated team, collaborate closely with your colleagues in an international environment. Working actively to educate and guide other teams in the product development area.
Create an inner source base for the future by ensure a sustainable software architecture, that supports usages for different solutions. C++ and Linux environment is the most used design environment.
Design and reviewing architectural and implement improvements. Securing a long-term quality of the architecture and a maintainable software.
Define and promoting implementation patterns and principles ensuring a high performing and compute adaptable implementation using secure coding standards.
Ensure that the quality assurance activities are efficient for the component with unit tests in C++ as well as multi-component tests in the Ericsson-developed language Erlang.
You will bring
Very good System and Product development knowledge and strong analytical skills.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ or Java.
A university education in e.g. M.Sc/B.Sc in computer science/IT/electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
4-5 years of SW development or experience from large scale development.
Good communication skills in both written and verbal English.
An interest in developing your personal qualities and deepening your knowledge and career together with us.
Knowledge in Telecommunication, Cloud, Machine Learning, Agile ways of working and Erlang programming (beneficial).
