hela Sverige The GARDENA Robotics R&D unit is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robotic mowers for the GARDENA division. The development unit is a new unit as previous development of robotic lawnmowers for the GARDENA division was done through a joint development organization responsible for all development of robotic lawn mowers within the Husqvarna group.
The new entity is headquartered and initially staffed in Huskvarna with the ambition to have continued strong affiliation and proximity to the other robotics development organizations within the Husqvarna Forest and Garden division.
The Systems and Software Engineering department is responsible for Systems Engineering, Software Design and Systems test within the Gardena Robotics R&D.
Job Description:
Products from GARDENA Robotics R&D are based on the shared Husqvarna Group Robotics Software Platform.
The GARDENA Robotics Software Lead & Architect will be an integrated part of the development of this platform with a special task to govern the GARDENA Robotics specific requirements and implementations. The Software Lead & Architect will take an active part of development projects. Other tasks included in this positions are:
Integrated participation in the development of Husqvarna Group Robotics Software Platform
Government of GARDENA specific software requirements and implementations
Participation in New Product Development projects both as a SW architect but also as a lead implementor which includes planning, definition, specification, implementation and industrialization
Participation in Pre-studies
Concept development and evaluations
Operational Support on maintenance activities
Software related special investigations.
As the organization is in the early phase you will be a part of an expansion journey and an important player in contributing ways of working.
Qualifications:
10 or more years of hands-on experience in software design of embedded, distributed applications. Preferably outdoor equipment or consumer appliances.
Experience of leading roles in product development related to software
Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English
Meritorious qualifications:
Experience and competence in the development of robotic lawnmowers.
Experience in developing products for the GARDENA division and familiarity/networks within this division
Knowledge and experience of structured requirements management including state of the art processes and tools.
Documented knowledge and experience of development teams in agile environments and setups such as SCRUM or similar.
