Stoneridge Electronics HQ in Stockholm is looking for a skilled Technical Software Lead to work together with us in an international environment with plenty of opportunities. You will participate growing the company in the leading edge of technology.
At Stoneridge Electronics, we are using computer vision technology to develop innovative products for the automotive industry. In recent years we have developed a camera-based replacement for the traditional rearview mirrors on truck's, to reduce fuel consumption and therefor also have an impact on the environment. These systems also help drivers to get a better view on the surroundings, making life safer for pedestrians and vehicle drivers alike. We are working on integrating machine learning into our products so that drivers can get alerts in critical situations and focus more on the road ahead.
In our team in Stockholm, we have engineers in various disciplines that collaborate with our global teams.
Your role
The SW Lead is responsible for managing product development on products in production within Stoneridge Electronics according to the set targets assigned. The responsibility for the SW Lead is to plan, execute and finalize SW projects within targets for quality, time, project- and product-cost.
The SW Lead duties include:
Plan and schedule project timelines, milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools to deliver according to project order.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Driving the work and leading the software project team.
Define and implement improvements in within the area of expertise
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and participate in discussions with line managers to set the right teams.
Contribute to develop processes, best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Profile
The SW Lead will both act as an expert/senior software developer for the team and as a team leader for the SW team. To be successful in this position we expect you to possess:
Good teamwork and communication skills
Ability to effectively divide the work load with other software team leaders
Enjoys to work towards common goals with group and company
Excellent skills in English both written and spoken
Qualifications
The successful candidate would need to meet the below expectations:
Experience in product development
Knowledge of Subversion, GIT or ClearCase
Knowledge of Atlassian Jira
Knowledge of agile methods (i.e. SCRUM)
Minimum BsC Software engineering
Preference is given to candidates with experience from:
Python (with relation to understanding the software release toolchain)
Knowledge in electronics, ability to read circuit drawings
Familiarity with automotive industry communication interfaces (CAN, LIN)
Experience in programming of real-time embedded systems
Experience in Posix OS development
Experience in working with real-time operating systems
Experience in leading a team of programmers
